Zavala
Zavala is a small fishing village situated in the south part of the island of Hvar just 10km from Jelsa and 35km from town Hvar. Zavala is well-known for its untouched nature surrounded by the scent of lavender and rosemary, beautiful olive groves and vineyards.
Zavala has many beautiful pebble beaches and hidden bays that offers quiet from everyday modern life. Along the shore, Zavala offers you beautiful an romantic walking trail where you can enjoy evening walks or jogging.
Island Hvar
Island Hvar is a part of central Dalmatian islands. With a surface of 300km2 is fourth biggest Croatian island. Hvar is mostly covered with pine forest, numerous olive groves and vineyards. Island Hvar is well known for it's pleasant Mediterranean clime with light winters and warm summers. Hvar is island with more than 2715 hours of sunshine per year. Rugged coastline, various beaches, untouched nature, rich history and heritage, flavours of lavender, olive trees and grapevine and well known warm hosts are reasons why island Hvar is widely known.
Jelsa
In the middle part of island is situated municipality Jelsa with it main city Jelsa. Zavala is part of a township Jelsa. Municipality Jelsa is famous for it's many cultural and historical monuments like churches, parks, squares and caves. Township Jelsa has many famous Croatia wineries like Duboković, Tomić Vina, Vina Carić and Pinjata.
Vrboska
Vrboska is a small fishing village situated in the middle part of the island of Hvar. Vrboska has a specific architecture with many bridges and it is known as a Small Venice. Oldest monument is a church of Holy Mary of Mercy from the 16th century. On the west side of a church-fortress is a church of St. Lovrinac from the 15th century. Interior of the church has many works of art from famous Tiziano Vecelio. In a Vrboska is a fishing museum, unique in this part of Croatia.
Hvar
Hvar, a town of rich history and the biggest city on island Hvar. Town Hvar abounds historical monuments with its specific architecture and a centrally positioned cathedral of St. Stephen. In a city of Hvar is the oldest folk theatre from 1612. Nowadays Hvar is famous as a party destination and is home to many party projects such as Ultra Music Festival.
Stari Grad
Stari Grad is the oldest city in Croatia. The first settlers came in 384. B.C. from island Paros in Greece and named it Faros. Stari Grad is situated in the middle part of island Hvar where deep bay passes in fertile island land. The land is under UNESCO protection and is known as Hvarski Ager. Nowadays, Stari Grad is a favourite nautical destination.
Other worth to see
Sveta Nedjelja is fishing and touristic village situated on the south part of island Hvar. It is famous for it's wild nature, huge vineyards and one of the most famous Croatian winery Plenković.
Velo Grablje, Malo Grablje and Brusje are small mountain resorts. They are well-known for it's authentic island architecture and lavandre fields.
Vrisnik is a picturesque village in the central part of the island. Tavern Vrisnik known for its homely atmosphere offers a variety of original Dalmatian dishes.
Svirče and Pitve are villages that belongs to municipality Jelsa. They are known for its island arhitecture and Konobas (Dalmatian authentic restaurants).
